  1. The law does not require any of those things, but an individual client might.


  2. I am not aware of any. I have 3 children and the girl who used to baby sit them was fantastic.  You will probably need certain life skills though.

    She was 13/14 when she first helped us out and her quality was her mature outlook on life.  She was great with the children and they did as she told them. She is still a friend now, 19 years after they were babies!

  4. In most states the law doesnt take effect until you are running a day care. At 14 there shouldnt be any required by law, but it would be very benifical to you and your potential clients to take a CPR course and some basic child care courses.

  5. A good insurance policy.

    If the kid falls over while you're looking after it, the parents will sue you into bankruptcy
