Are there any resctrictions as to what I can take on the plane with me from Toronto to Cuba?

Can I take my phone and ipod with me?

How about makeup?

A bottle of water?

Yes you can take your phone and iPod on the plane.

Makeup has to be in a clear sealable plastic bag (1 qt)....they can provide that for you at the airport if you need....but the regular ziploc bags work fine.

You will be able to get your water on the plane...they won't usually let you take that on.

Snacks are not usually allowed unless you bought it at the airport restaurant.

I was able to bring a sandwich that I bought at the airport on my last trip to Cuba...but nothing brought from outside the airport.

When I landed in Cuba, they saw a packaged cookie through the x-ray screen and wanted to go through my carry-on because food is not allowed to be brought into the country. But it was no problem when I told them it was from the plane.

I'm deviating a little, but just thought that info might come in handy for you.

The best thing you can do is also go online and check that information on the airline site. You will get specific specifications on what you can and cannot take and how to take it on board...it's very detailed....right down to the types of makeup and toothpaste brought.

Phone/ipod = yes

CD player - yes

Makeup/Bottled water - makeup must be in a clear plastic bag with no liquid more than 3 ounces.

Snacks - yes but no fruit

This is to clear you for boarding
