Now that it is patio season, does anyone know of restaurants and/or bars in Chicago, preferably the near west suburbs, that have found a way to work with the ban but allow smoking in certain areas on their outdoor patios?

  1. All bars and restaurants have the ban in effect. The only way 'around' it is the outdoor patios. Some places will allow it, but it can't be within 15 feet of the entrance to the building. However, the ban does not apply to businesses whose revenue is at least 75% attributed to smoking products - cigarettes, cigars, pipes, hookahs. Also, private clubs (not public clubs like Crobar, Excalibur, Nacional 27, etc) are not affected by the smoking ban either.
