  1. I'm not sure if it's still open, but Ludwig's Garten at 13th & Sansom.

Blue Ox Brauhaus at 7900 Oxford Ave.

Old Guard House Inn at 953 Youngsford Rd in Gladwyne

Not exactly German, but ZoT (pronounced Zote) is at 122 Lombard and Eulogy at 136 Chestnut Street are Belgian.

  2. I can't think of one off hand (I live in the Western Suburbs), but it does seem like there ought to be one, with all the history of Germans in Pennsylvania.

There is, however, Eulogy, a Belgi an style bar/restaurant with a wide variety of Belgian beers in bottles and on tap.  It's at 136 Chestnut in Philly proper, very cool place.

  3. Note to above answer -- Ludwig's Garden is no longer in business.

  4. I wish you were in Dallas. I could recommend a place with great Rouladen. Good luck finding one, German food is the best.

Edit: I guess I can throw in a Google for you. From Yahoo! Local: http://local.yahoo.com/PA/Philadelphia/F... they are rated, so it may help.
