Are there any restaurants offering payment by cheque??

Hi im a programmer, developing a wireless restaurant for my thesis. Juz wanted to know whether besides payment by cash and credit card are there any restaurant offering payment by cheque??

Traveler's cheque is the only kind that I am aware of. Personal cheques are really outdated!
