Are there any restrictions for a newly licensed driver who's over 18 in CA?

More specifically, can the driver take minors (under 18) or drive late at night?

  1. When you turn age 18 or over 18, you will no longer be under the provisional driver license restrictions at all.


  2. If you have an unrestricted license, then you are legal to drive anywhere at any time, with anyone you want as passengers.

  3. I recived my first liscence at 19 in CA and there are no restrictions. The only time there are restricitions are if you are under 18 and get your liscence. You can carry anyone in your vehicle at any time.
