Are there any restrictions for the essay for the SAT?

for example, does it have to a five-paragraph essay? or can four paragraphs suffice, as long as it has a good thesis statement, strong body paragraphs and a conclusion?

  1. Usually it's around 4 to 5 paragraphs (it doesn't matter). I would keep the structure of the sentence simple and do not be too verbose.

    Usually the longer the essay the better but it should not be over 800 words. It's more of a short essay.

    There's also a time limit of 25 minutes and there is only two pages to write on and I would suggest filling out over 1 and 1/2 of those pages to make it seem you wrote a lot.


  2. the only restriction that i know is that you have to fit on the pages they gave you..i'm pretty sure it's like two-ish pages...
