Are there any restrictions to filming/interviewing the general public in Phoenix, AZ?

I'm hoping do some freelance journalism, but am concerned with filming in a public area, as well as approaching strangers and asking for their opinions on certain matters. Do I need a permit? Should I have interviewees sign a waiver, e.t.c..? I'm entirely new to this area, so some help would be much appreciated.

  1. As long as those being interviewed are in agreement to be interviewed, there are no restrictions what so ever.
