Are there any roller coasters with an electrical system on the train? All the roller coasters I've seen just have the track do all the work. I was wondering if any trains have onboard electricity for headlights or other effects? If so, how does the train get its electricity?

  1. From a wire between the track - such a roller coaster I have

seen in my hometown last year.

  2. Well, I know coasters like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster @ WDW , Led Zeppelin the Ride @ Hard Rock Park , X2 @ Six Flags Magic Mountain, and Hollywood Dream @ Universal Studios Japan have on-board sound systems, and Hollywood Dream actually has tons of little lights on the train that light up at night.  I have no idea where the power comes from...I don't think the power source is actually attached to the train itself, though.
