Are there any similar websites to craigslist that is free of charge?

Craigslist has a lot fake ads and I am looking for something similar to it that does not charge to post or reply to ads.

You can also try Backpage.com or even Myspace or Facebook, and as you already know virtually every city do have their own classified sites,

why not try the search of your city and add classified to your city name something like = your city + free classified ads or your city + post classified ad, at least you get the picture

Freecycle  

Each large city has their own local one and everything on it is free.  I've dumped so much junk of ours on it that it's ridiculous. Nothing is too big or too small.  Two guys even dug up a 10 foot tree we wanted removed!

a great site that is a lot like craigslist is http://www.stumblehere.com they are completely free to use. I've use them a lot and they work great
