Are there any sites online, where you meet people who have similar interests?

I want to travel Europe. and i have no friends who are interested in travelling europe for a year. are there any sites where you meet people who have dreams similar to yours, meet them, get to know them and organise to travel? oh and its safe. i know it may sound weird...but it really sucks not having friends with similar dreams :(
