Are there any speakers that i can hook directly up to my hdtv without a receiver?

im lookin for any speakers that i can just hook up to my hdtv without a receiver. do they even exist? i dont need anything loud, just something to enhance the sound a little bit. any recommendations? thanks in advance...

I've never heard of too much, but there are virtual surround sound sets that may do it, Toshiba makes one I know, but they are usually expensive.  Otherwise, just get a cheap reciever and a cheap 5.1 set and a few cables, it'll work fine.
