Are there any special events in the Isle of Wight in late July?

Hi there,

We're visiting the Isle of Wight from the 25th July this year for 10 days and wondered if there were any special events happening over this period.

We're staying in Shanklin but have a car so pretty much anything goes. I guess we're looking for anything that's a bit different really or just something which is a one-off (parades, fetes, open days, festivals etc)

Hope someone can help me with some interesting suggestions!

i am not aware of any but the palce is brilliant i would still go.  you can google see if there is any special event.
