Are there any special markings to look for on Carnival Glass that would indicate its value or quality?

I have 2 rather large pitchers that are over 50 yrs old and was wondering about them. Thanks in advance.

  1. There is something about carnival glass that has a "look".

    Years ago, when I did the flea market scene, there was a lady in the mkt. that had all kinds of junk, but she also had carnival glass, which she knew well.  Man, she could just look at a piece and tell you when and where and how much in  the twinkle of an eye.

    There are books that might be a source to go to in your local library specifically on carnival glass.  I do know some pieces are extremely rare and valuable.  

    As I remember, pitchers by themselves are not as valuable as the set they originally were produced with.  Nonetheless, it still is valuable to anyone who has the other pieces and just need the pitcher to complete the set.


  2. If they are that old then yes they are worth alot. Not sure.You would have to see a dealer to tell you.

  3. I can be of no help beyond my star.

    I had a lot of carnival, depression  and ruby but lost it all in a house fire some 17 years ago.
