Are there any species besides man that kill for the sake of leisure?

I have seen killer whales play with a seal by tossing them up in the air constantly with their tails until it died.  I've also seen a tiger cub "play" with his live food.  (Does playing with food count?).  So,  yes.

Now with that said, is there a difference between killing for fun and having fun but the "toy" winds up dying?  Meaning, are the animals aware of "life"? I can see it go either way, so I guess it would depend on how you see it.

chimpanzees are well known for going on raiding party's and killing monkeys aparently just for the fun of it

Most  domestic cats will kill for sport. When the prey is dead then they will walk away.

Yes, cats kill mice and then play with the bodies afterwords.

nope. ive seen a documentery of elephant going on rages due to tere hormones and c**p. but not because of leisure.

so the answer is no.

I've seen cats play with mice until the mouse dies.I have seen dogs kill rats and have no interest in eating them. I once saw a documentary which showed male chimpanzees steal a females baby then tear it apart to eat it but were not starving it seemed they were more interested in horrifying the female. I would also point out that Chimps, ants and termites have all been documented " going to war". Humans are bad but not alone
