Are there any specific exercises or stretches one can do to help them grow taller?

One's height might usually depend on their genes, but I know that lifestyle choices can affect one's growth spurt as well. Besides the whole general balanced diet with fruits and veggies and exercising certain amount of time per week, are there specific exercises/stretches one can do to help them grow? What are they and how would they help? (If you know any sources to back it up, it will be greatly appreciated). How daily do you have to do these exercises/stretches in order for them to be effective in aiding one's growth? 10 points for best, thorough answer!! Thanks in advance.

  1. cycling. i can vouch for it! all the girls in my class who cycled to school, shot up! cycle and you will definetly end up 2 inches more than you would otherwise.  


  2. I honestly think it depends on your age and if you are still growing or not, but I have heard that the best exercise that does not stress your joints and "aids" in growing is swimming.

    Additionally I personally find Yoga a great stretch. I feel taller after an hour long session of Yoga (which is impossible that I am taller, cause I'm not growing anymore, hahaha, but mentally I feel taller - that counts, right?) You can locate a Yoga studio in your neighboorhood, they're everywhere! Many Yoga studios offer first time lesson for free, so you can try it out and see if you like it. Or some gyms offer Yoga classes, if you are a gym member.

    Also sleep early! I don't know how old you are, but supposedly for "teens" and "pre-teens" optimum sleeping growth occurs between the hours of midnight and 2am...I THINK? All I know is you should be asleep before midnight. Avoid caffeine as well!
