Are there any states where a female can't get free birth control?

I started using the pill on my 18th birthday - way back in 1978. We could get it for free at Planned Parenthood. I've lived in several states since then and in each of them there has been an organization (Health Dept, P.P., etc.) where a young woman (or young man) could get free birth control of various kinds. When I was young, I was a recipient, but since I've matured I've been a worker, volunteer, or money donor so these programs could keep going.

I've worked in the Social Services or ChildCare fields most of my life, so I guess my real question is: why do so many young women these days get pregnant out of wedlock? It's just not safe any longer to have unprotected s*x. And, I'll be honest, unwanted pregnancies are a drain on society.

Having children isn't a right, it's a priviledge!

  1. Planned Parenthood has worked hard to make sure that they are available in all states.  It is a struggle.
