  1. band students score do better in school generally. i would say about 90-95 percent of our band kids are on the high-honor roll. With sports, you have practice and games or meets, and you forget about homework, but you can get scholarships from sports. You can scholarships from both actually.

  2. Well I believe that children that have parent support at home tend to do better at school than those who do not. I help my children with reading and spelling. I also do games with them that involve maths. Both my children are high achievers.

  3. "About 75 percent of 12- to- 17-year-old children who participated in an extracurricular activity are on track academically (that is, in the grade at school expected for their age), compared with 60 percent of children in this age group who did not participate in such activities."
