Are there any stores in the NYC area that will be selling snowboarding gear at this time of year?

Heading over for a short visit and would like to stock up on gear and equipment while the dollar/pound price is so good!

- paragon on 18th and broadway, but they still have summer sports stuff the last time i went.

- burton store is on spring street off of mercer in soho and will always have boarding equipment. i'm not sure if they'll have 2009 items in stock yet (2009 line is already up on its website).

- princeton ski shops used to be a great option but went out of business this past spring

Maybe, but i seriously doubt it. Its not winter, no resorts are in operation and people dont need snowboarding gear right now. I went to the sporting goods store near my place yesterday and they had no snowboard/ski stuff. They sold the stuff that you would need for those summer activities like camping or those sports that dont require snow (like basketball, golf etc...)

But, since you will be there, go look around. You might just find something.

Eastern Mountain Sports on B'way might have some in backstock. I know they don't send stuff to a wharehouse, so it should be in the store some place. I know they carry K2 and Arbor. Not too sure what else.

There is a Burton flagship store in Soho, and there's a DC shop right across the street.  They probably have the 09 gear or very soon because they're a flagship store.  However, it's SoHo, so don't expect the cheapest deals.   Princeton Ski went out of business???

Wow.  Try going online to find gear.  You can usually get better deals.
