i cannot find any stores! I dont use ebay or craiglist (nothing online) i want an actual store in the orange county/92865 area.

Hello!

I have sold numerous instruments in the past trying to find out what instrument I like most and would want to focus most on.  Anyway, that means going through a lot of instruments, both buying and selling.

To answer your question, I did sell both through a Pawn Shop and also on eBay/Craigslist.

And a few others that I can't remember its name.  You can probably go into any pawn shop to sell it or look into the Yellow Pages under "guitar" to find places that'll buy your equipment.

That being said, I have found out that instruments (guitars) are extremely liquid on eBay & Craigslist meaning that you can find a buyer for them extremely quickly.  You'll always get a better price on Craigslist compared to a pawn shop because the pawn shops will need to make a profit.  If you can sell on Craigslist, there's no middle man, and you can make easily $50-$300 more depending on the instrument.

Since posting on Craigslist is free, I would recommend trying to post it there first to see if you can get the price you want before going into a pawn shop.  A pawn shop is a quick sale, but they will not give you much for an instrument.
