I'll travel there with some friends and we would like to take into account local festivals. Anything that doesn't require understandind polish (because we don't) will do.

  1. I don't know, which part of Poland you'd like to explore so I'll give you some info about events in different locations:

    - 4-6.07. - Open'er Festival - Heineken music - in Gdynia

    (http://www.opener.pl/index2.html) Tickets.

    - 20.06 - 4.07. - BRUK Summer Festival - in Gdynia (north of Poland) - mostly hip-hop events

    - 30.06. - 6.07. - Gdynia Sailing Days - in english http://www.gdyniasailingdays.com/english...

    - 24-28.07. - Globaltica - World Culture Festival - in Gdynia(http://silverss.nazwa.pl/globaltica/glob...

    - 1-5.07. - Etnofestival - in Malbork (also north) - to take part you need to fill in a form and send it to them

    - 26th of July - 2nd of August - Mountain Bike Challenge (fourth edition) starting from Kudowa Zdrój (you'll find it on http://www.bikechallenge.pl/ also in english)

    - 11-12.07. - Blues Express Festival - in Piła and Zakrzewo

    - 4-12.07. - BRAVE Festival - in Wrocław (info in english http://www.bravefestival.pl/en/bf2008/in...

    - and many many more...

Well, there's always something going on in the north (Tricity: Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot). Try surfing the net in english for events in Poland, north.

I hope it helps a bit.

Have a good time in Poland!
