Are there any such things as demons? Discovery channel "A Haunting"?

I always wonder in any of the stories in A Haunting are even true?

Even if they are true how come no one dies in it? More over, how many people die for ghosts or demons each year lol. Also why is every family for person featured in "A Haunting" of Christian faith. I have not seen a Indian, middle eastern, budist, or any other ethnicity family on that show?

I don't believe that there are demons- the closest thing would be residual negative energy that has somehow joined together and compounded in on itself. And there was one episode where a priest of a different, Asian religion performed his faith's version of an exorcism.

The stories on A Haunting are based on true experiences.  I watch this show almost every day and have seen people of other religions experience problems with negative entities.  There's even this one episode that followed a family that had just moved to Vietnam (I think) and they actually contacted a Maoist priest to get rid of the spirit.

There was one case in which the little boy who was possessed died.  I do not remember the title of the episode but it happened.

Demons are very real.  Many of them are earth spirits.  Much older than mankind.

It is because the people usually get an excorcist (SP?) or they move out. I saw one episode where someone almost died. And their faith doesn't matter...it's the story of the haunting. The show is not a racial or religious thing.

they dont die because demons are not allowed to take lives. the reason everyone is Christian is because no ones else would have believed it was a demon. if a plate goes flying at an atheist, they move out, they dont go talking about demons to people with cameras.

i think there are demons, my friend used to meditate and said she saw one... scary!

but yea i watch that show too, but i dont know it could be ppl trying to get attention. maybe sum r real and sum r fake.

I watch the show occasionally...I have seen episodes where their was people of different faiths(other than christianity) being tormented.  As far as people making up stories..possiblity....the demon thing is very real...i have witnessed them in form and have felt their presence-YUK!...and they exsist on this earth...!  .PEACE AND GOD BLESS!!!

crazy!! I just got done watching that show about 15 min. ago! of course it had a demon in it!!  I was reading stuff from Lorraine Warren, and she says that a person attracts that kind of thing to themselves.  By being negative, and vulnerable.  

True though, I have never seen a Buddhist on there having problems with a ghost!  lol!

People who die from those kind of things tend to die of what appear to be natural causes. Like they get pneumonia or have a heart attack, or brain aneurysm....or they kill themselves. Suicide is often how people die from stuff like that.

It's fake. I don't even think that the stories are true in the least. Nobody dies because it is all Hollywood effect and glamour. I believe that they are of the Christian faith to persuade other religions and cultures to turn to Christianity. Basically like their saying, "See? With the power of God you can defeat these demons/ghosts." Besides if they were true, they'd make more than 6 or so episodes...
