Are there any support forums for the spouses of people whose parents have passed away?

My fiance's mom passed away shortly after I met her this past October. I want to be there for him but he won't let me in and I tell him all the time to talk to me about her, share stories, IM HERE but nothing and unfortunately I didn't get the chance to really get to know her. I am not really sure how best to be there for him and would like to know if there is a chat forum of some sort where I could speak to others IN MY SITUATION. Thanks.

  1. Hi:   I think you are looking for an online support forum, and I have listed some links below. If griefnet.org does not have what you are looking for, you can probably find something appropriate on the 3rd link I listed. Keep trying. If these don't work, sooner or later you can find almost anything on google.

If you are looking for "real" people in "real" groups (as opposed to online forums) I suggest you contact some social service agencies or bereavement groups in your area. They can probably help you find the type of support you are looking for.

I hope this helps. I'm sorry for you and your husband's loss.

  2. Yes

One I know of is called GriefShare, groups usually meet in a local Church, or community center.

Check it out, I'm sorry for your loss

    Luck
