I have a problem were when I start working out the neck part of my uniform slips down my back and the solar plexis is up on my neck. I was thinking that maybe it was because the top part of the uniform was made for men with larger shoulders.

does anyone make tkd uniforms specially for women ?

are there any web sites?

all answers are exepted.

thanx!!

  1. They do make women's sizes in the jackets in some makes, but it's not terribly common. The thing is, you're probably being talked into the wrong size.

Most women I know that are shorter and have extremely narrow shoulders end up buying a larger "children's" uniform simply for that reason -- the fit is just better for them. If that doesn't work for you, consider looking at something about 1 to 2 sizes smaller and see if that fits better.

One last option if you're certain that the overall size of the uniform is right is to take it to a tailor, explain why it's slipping, and see if they can help. By bringing up the seem at the shoulders, you might have a better fit in your current uniform.

    Good luck.

  2. This is the only one that I know of:

  3. The TKD "Dobak" is different than the karate "Gi".

Although not specifically for women, the adidas ribbed dobak is better quality than your typically "free issue" uniform when you join.

There are also sizing charts here.

  4. not that i've heard of.  my school doesn't use gi's.

I think its just the traditional gi unless you can maybe get a pink gi or something but thats not what you are asking.
