I mean like, one second we're here, 3 seconds later we're gone? Are there any such theories in this category?

Here's a link to some other theories in this area

  1. there's a theory which says:the Universe will keep on expanding and cooling forever. The stars will die, new ones will form, but fewer of them and less frequently. They will die, and fewer will take their place. Eventually, all the atoms in the Universe will radioactively decay, and the Universe will be a cold, lonely, empty place. Timescale? Infinite. But there could be new physics: a big crunch, a big rip, something to re-trigger inflation, or something even more exotic. This is probably the most uncertain of all.

  2. scientifically, I doubt that something could happen that we wouldn't see it coming..... but if you go with the theory of "God said, let there be...".... then yes, I supposed God could say "Let there NOT be...." and poof, there ya go.....

  3. If the existence of Dark Energy is factual, the universe will continue to expand, it will become so thinly spread out that noting will be observable. This scenario is known as an open universe.

  4. Yes. There are several theories including one that  says the stars will begin dying one by one and blink out untill there is nothing left but blackness.

  5. One of the versions of Dark Energy theory suggests that Dark Energy will become so strong that it will cause stars to fly away from galaxies, then planets to fly away from their parent stars, and eventually, atoms will separate from their molecules, then atoms will break apart.

I'm pretty sure i don't believe it.  But i haven't seen the math.
