  1. I don't know many personally, mostly because the majority of my female friends are die-hard professional types who put career first. Some of my relatives are very traditional, though tending to be so conservative that we have little in common and tend to avoid each other.

The only woman I know who comes close to being traditional is my partner, but only in regards to our roles within the relationship. And even then, the tradition we adhere to is something many might call Neolithic. I say, she do, and that's the way we both prefer it.

  2. traditional, how many women out there  want to be loved , honored, worshiped, paid attention to and respected women if you say no to this our stay on this planet is over we are just waiting for the bus. traditional I am 56 years old married 36 years she is my queen. you wouldn`t want that from a man????????????????????????????>> lol lots of love / lots of luck thats tradition

  3. You ask this a lot. Anyway, if you mean "traditional" by staying at home and raising the kids, in the US, one-third of all women with children under the age of 18 stay home full time, and half with children under the age of one stay home. So there you go, you're not as rare as you think.

Edit: Most American women are mothers, so yes, a vast number of women are "traditional" in that they do not hold employment outside of the home.

  4. If your meaning of traditional is a woman being straight and not g*y, then yes I am traditional.

I'm a married woman with a child who works full time and is in college part time.

If your idea of traditional is the "June Cleavers" of the world who stay at home all day and take care of the kids and house, then you need to ask upper class women that question.  They are only 5% of the US population.

  5. Maybe, but as we progress to the next generation our customary traditions for  womens are changing.

  6. I'm not sure what you mean by "traditional"?

  7. Yes, they do exist. There are 5.6 million of them as of May 2007.

  8. I don't know if I'm "traditional" or not. We live a traditional lifestyle "sort of." I work full time but the hubby stays home with the kids. I'm a home birther, home schooler, we garden, we have two rabbits and we want to eventually live on a farm and off the grid all together.

It don't know if that is called traditional, but it is a version of what my parents did (my father farmed while my mother worked full time), and my grandparents did (they both farmed full time and stayed home full time.)

Who knows. Just live your life your way and call it whatever you like. :)

  9. If you're referring to a woman who has enough sense to raise her own children by being a stay at home mom, than me!! I believe woman have for the most part ruined the work place by flooding it with less capable workers and forced wages down and have destroyed a stable family for most children to grow up in.

  10. Well I am very traditional! go look at my questions, you find a question i asked am I crazy..It tells about my old fashioned traditional ways.

  11. As we have told you before, of course there are.  Please do not feel like you are the only women out there who wishes to have a traditional lifestyle.  There are many out there.

  12. Yes, I believe there are. For instance; it makes no sense to me to put my kids in day care so that I can "buy a piece of stone." My kids need me; my husband needs to come home to a good meal not a dead tired wife. If need be us traditioinal woman can spin a buck; I have. Especially, when times was rough. You do what you have to do and women have been spinning bucks long before Feminism. So, as you can see we are not a dying (for lack of better terms) breed.

  13. Why do you keep asking this question? Talk about needing constant reassurance. You've been around here long enough to know that there are indeed such women on this forum. You've even chatted to them. Or do you have short-term memory problems?

  14. Yeah what do you mean by traditional??

  15. Yes, we  still  exist.

  16. what do u mean by traditional? i think my mom is lol

  17. I guess it would depend on who's traditions you are following and what you consider traditional.

  18. I hope not. Traditional women are why we ladies aren't progressing further in society.

  19. What do you mean by the word traditional?

  20. I go by the book :)

  21. Yes, but not in my world.

  22. I am stay at home father and the wife works. I still consider her a traditional women.

A traditional woman understands there are differences between men and woman.

A traditional woman understands the needs of a family comes first.

A traditional woman understands that being submissive is not evil, but knows the term has been bastardized by the feminist. No one needs to have their way all of time.

  23. that is a good question, I was thinking the same thing myself. I have nothing against an independent woman. But in a relationship a man has to take lead. If the woman takes lead then she will not respect the man. And lets face it, it will never be 50/50. This is why divorce rates are always going up.

If this sounds unsettling I also beleive a man should take lead only if he is worthy to be followed. Traditional woman do exsist there just rare. If you find any traditional woman out there let me know.

  24. Proud stepford wife is one here on this site.

Louis something....pic of blonde girl is another.

Yes there are traditional woman left, most are very religious, that still believe women are meant to be lead by there husbands..

Spuddy: I disagree, just b/c a woman is a SAHM doesnt mean she is a traditionalist, we have several feminist sahm's here on this site....and the under a year thing come on....difference between a feminist relationship and traditional roles is..is the "power" shared between husband and wife....or does just the husband hold it.

  25. My friend is one of them. What's wrong with being a "traditional" woman if that is what makes you happy?

  26. I keep asking the same thing.  The closest I have seen is those foxy FLDS women.
