So far as I know, trains stations are pretty much "stationary", so they don't usually go anywhere, let alone to a major city.

Fortunately the trains that pass by them do.  Which means the gentleman above is correct........................... Have a safe trip!

No. But you can pick up the Amtrak in Galesburg, which is close. It goes right to Chicago.
