Are there any tricks for reading passages on the SAT?

Joe- Obviously my eyes are going to be open, i meant are there speed reading strategies or specific ways to go about reading the passages that maximizes the amount of info you retain and saves you time. I found a few, i was simply wondering if there were more.

What I did: Read the whole passage thoroughly, and any introductory materials or biographical information on the author. As I read the questions, refered back to the passage to make sure I was correct. I never skimmed or anything, I always read the full passages.

Just take practice tests and see what strategy works for you.
