So far, I have only found examples of troll indulging in such fine dining. Does anyone know of any other type of creature that would do such a thing?

This is for a story that I'm working on to tell at a Bardic (a talent show) that is held during a festival. The festival theme is "Fairies, Gnomes, and Elves", so I'm trying to be thematic!

  1. From the Encyclopedia of Religion  & Ethics, Part 5; Gastings, James

"Fairies were sometimes believed to eat children whom they stole or inveigled from their parents. e.g. in Welsh Floklore.  Rhys (Celtic Folklore 1901, ii 694) is inclined to equate these w/the man eating Atecotti; & so far as fairies reflect an early race, this may be correct."
