  1. It depends on the intoxication level of the launcher. The more intoxicated, the less guided, and eventually more and more unguided it becomes. At some point, acquiring the target goes from precision to luck.

  2. Absolutely. Ask the Israelis. Most of the rockets shot into Israel are of the unguided variety, and so do (relatively) little damage. Think of them as big fireworks rockets.

Also, they've been around for awhile - "The rockets' red glare" from the US national anthem. I guess the "Greek Fire" from a couple of thousand years back would also qualify.

  3. Surface/Surface there's the old "FROG" (Free Rocket Over Ground).  Air/Air unguided rockets were replaced in the late '50s by homing missiles (either IR or radar-guided).  Air/Surface, 4.5" rockets are still used by attack helicopters.  Surface/Air, technically no, but SA2 SAMs were fired ballistically by the Iraqi's, which meant they were unguided-making them technically rockets...

  4. Yes.  They are called rockets.

  5. Yes.

  6. WHY YES I DO BELEAVE SO YOU CALL IT A ROCKET.....

  7. Yes. Anything that is thrown or launched is technically a missile. If you throw a stone then that becomes a missile for the duration of its flight. The term 'missile' has come into general use as a meaning for a powered Guided Missile, similarly 'rocket' is a term used for an unguided powered missile.
