Are there any varieties of potato which have been deemed unsafe due to high levels of toxins?

I've been reading about the Lenape variety which had to be recalled in the 60's. I wondered if there had been any others.

I know this isn't exactly what you mean, but I lived in Ecuador a few years and up north we had such a bad infestation by the larvae of the Guatemalan Potato Moth that they were largely inedible!

Here, today, I don't know of any toxins.

Pretty unlikely, now-a-days.  The Nightshade plant ( weed) is poisonous.  It is from the potato family.

the  ones around chenolbe and three mile island and GE varietys from monastos but they havent been recalled yet
