I am working a farm unit and want to grow things, but the camp is only 6 weeks. I was wondering if there was anything I could grow in that time frame

  1. Radish - about 30 days.

    Lettuce

Any baby greens - you pick them when small.

I personally recommend radishes - there is something about seeing a radish come up that is very cool - this little round red veggie sticking out of the ground.

Good luck - you will have a great time.

  2. radish

  3. In warm places, radishes grow to maturity in 21 days

  4. Cabbages lettuces bokchoys that sort of thing but anything that has a fruit,  tubar or actually veggie to it usually takes a lot longer and cabbages probably aren't that short to grow

  5. Peppers -70-90 days

    Summer squah= 40 - 50days

Peppers are very easy easy easy to grow plus they keep producing for a long itme. Bets bet banna pepers

  6. Some radishes are fairly quick and salad greens of all kinds can be grown as "cut and come again" in that you seed them really heavy and harvest baby leaves by cutting close to the ground. The leaves keep growing back to be cut again later, great for salads. See the list I gave for the answer to the question regarding 10 kinds of salad greens, most can be done that way. (below)

    Spinich (Spinacia oleracea)

    Chard (Beta vulgaris)

    Orache (Atriplex)

    Good King Henry (Chenopodium)

    Amaranth

    Mizzuna

    Arugla also called Roquette

    Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) varieties

    Dandilion

    Cabbage

Corn salad (Valerianella locusta) (AKA Mache') number 11 and a favorite, almost forgot that one!
