Just wondering if children raised as veggies actually have the desire to try meat or become avid meat eaters.

  1. there are some vegetarians that were born that way and therefore have never had meat...and to introduce it to these people could be dangerous since their bodies haven't build up specific bacteria to safely break down meat

  2. My son is nearly 6 years old + he has never eaten meat or fish. He thinks killing animals for meat is wrong + he has no intention of eating them.

  3. 7th Day Adventist are vegetarian...I am also...I worked for a time in an Adventist assisted living center where the residents where in their 80's, 90's and one dear lady who was 115 years old...all very healthy and had never eaten meat all their lives....

the body is not capable of digesting dead animal flesh  so why would some one chose to eat something that would make them very very sick?

  4. i have never eaten meat in my life.

it is actually hard to do this in the west and europe, but in india there is no problemb.

my grandparents and probably my entire family as far as i can remember have never eaten meat.

infact my grandmom stopped eating even gelatine, potatos, onions or garlic. she has no problem in india as many restaurants make jain food.

it may sound a little  extreme but as i am a jain i am also not supposed to eat potatos, onions or garlic according to my religion.

  5. I think humans in general want to try everything once.  I never have never had the desire to drink alcoholic beverages, I decided long ago when I was a kid that it was very bad for you, but I tried them anyway.  Take sip of beer, wine, or whatever just to try it.

I know some vegans who have never tried meat.  There are things I've never tried and never will.  Dolphin, monkey, stir fried tarantula, snails, rat, dog, ...there are things meat eaters will not eat either.  So, no big deal.

  6. The are generations of vegetarians, in India for example, who would never have consider eating meat.

But here in the West kids rebel against their parents so some children brought up in veggie households might turn to meat eating.

  7. My niece is 10 and has been vegetarian since she was born. I became her guardian when she was 4 and so have become very good at some vegetarian cooking.I've never been a big meat fan myself and now I know more about how farm animals are treated I'm planning to become a vegetarian too.

  8. I have only eaten a fish finger once before and also a piece of scampi- I have no desire to eat fish or even try it.  Never tried salmon or tuna or anyting else like that.  Makes me feel ill at the thought of it.

I have been a proper veggie since I was 12 (am 29 now) after my mum gave up trying to feed me meat.  Am not interested in eating meat at all and don't crave it.  It's not all to do with not killing animals for me but rather the texture and taste of it and also all the grizzly bits on it. Yuk!  But to answer your question I have eaten meat but it's just not for me.

  9. My children have never eaten meat. They were raised vegetarian and became vegan a few years ago (being teenagers already).

  10. i used to eat meat but never a sausage or burger. because i didnt know what was in it such as ears and eyeballs. the meat i ate had to be almost incinerated and i generally pushed it aside. then one day i realised i didnt have to have it on my plate.it was a whole new way of life and i really enjoy my food now and could never go back to eating meat.

  11. It is possible, because if even if a child has never eaten meat when they were born, and the mother consumed meat while she was pregnant, then technically speaking the individual has eaten meat !  I support this using my high school biology ...  While the baby is in the mother's stomach, the umbilical cord supplies food and air to the baby.  Hence what ever the mother eats, the baby eats.  So if the mother has deep fried KFC, then the baby will also have it.

So yes, it is possible for a vegetarian to consume meat.

  12. my mom has NEVER eaten meat.

  13. There will be many from vegetaian families . . . our 13yr old son has never eaten meat. We have been veggie for 25yrs and our two boys never have had meat until they were old enough to understand. One has decided he will never eat meat, the other just doesn't have it at home!!

  14. Well I am a Vegetarian and I have never eaten meat in my life and neither would I ever like to eat meat.

I mean Veggies are good enough food.

Here in India half of the people are Vegetarians.

My father was a meat eater but he's stopped eating meat.

So I guess it depends on your moral value. A Veggie child is taught that killing animals for just eating is wrong so that child starts thinking like that and well he then takes killing of animals for meat as cruel (Sort of brainwashing).

And I can't actually answer your question because it depends upon the individual and can't be generalized.

  15. I,m told that as a baby I spat out my food if it contained meat. As a adult, with a husband( meat eating) and two sons ( also meat eating)to cook for, I tried it several times, but found both taste and texture horrible. I'm told I am  a "natural" vegetarian

  16. well yes a vegetarian doesn't eat at all so if your a vegetarian you DO NOT EAT MEAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. I would imagine plenty of vegetarians have never eaten meat.

I personally stopped eating it at the age of three when I found out what it was. Sounds silly, but I did not know until I was three! I do not personal like meat substitutes (as in ones designed to be like meat) and say “eww, No it is too meaty for me!” and yet for all I know it is nothing like meat.

  18. Probebly almost every vegentarian has aten meat at one point, if they remember it or not.
