Are there any ways to become a gocart racer for free.?

I live in south carolina are there any like tryouts.

no but get a kart and go to local tracks in sc there's usually a $100 fee when i raced

nobody lets you race for free you need to buy your own cart learn the ropes if your lucky somebody likes you they will let you drive for them  but firt remember you need lots of seat time so play lots of racing video games and save for your own kart learn to set it up and drive it who knows from there good luck

In motor racing, teams don't pay drivers to race for them, except  in  top categories like Formula one, and then only top teams will pay their drivers.

You have to pay the team for their work and machinery they provide to you.

If you manage to find adequate sponsorship then the sponsor will cover the expenses so they don't come out of your pocket and if you strike some good long term sponsorship deal you will get paid by your sponsor.

Some F1 drivers find a seat in some of the slower and less financially stable teams by bringing sponsorship money to them.

They get their salary out of their sponsorship deal.

So as a first step you will have to buy your own kart and if you're serious about your racing you will need to join a team and practice with them.

They will prepare the kart for you and provide technical expertise on set up and driving tips so that you can concentrate on spending time on the track and improve fast.
