Are there backpackers hostels near or w/in walking distance to Albert park?

I will be attending a symposium to be held at The Carousel at Albert park,any recommendation which area of melbourne to book a backpackers hostel to stay? many thanks!!

I think the easiest to get to would be Urban Central at 334 City Road, Southbank. It's just near Clarendon Street which has trams that will take you virtually to the door of the Carousel. Aughtie Drive (where the Carousel is), is at the extreme end of Clarendon Street.
