Are there base 1 pokemon cards that are first 1st edition?

i have looked everywhere and i can not find a pokemon base 1, 1st edition booster box. i was just wondering if they even came out with a 1st edition type.

In my opinion magic the gathering is way better than pokemon. It involves more strategy which makes it way better.

Yes they did but now their harder to find because now there is a few more versions.If you want to find one they should be at your local Target or Walmart stores!
