  1. EBay will be your best option as I'm always looking for a new site to get clubs, and have not been lucky. What people do is they snipe items on EBay. So if you want a good set at a decent price watch the item and snipe at last minute..that's all i can tell you good luck.

  2. You don't say if it's new clubs or second hand and ones you are looking for? Another site you could try is www.golfbidder.co.uk, it's an actual PGA website and they have ratings and reviews of all the clubs for auction. They also have brand new clubs for sale. All clubs in the bag are  covered and although you might pay a bit more than on ebay, you know they are legit, don't get sniped at the last minute and as well as a years warranty they have 7 day no quibble refund policy.

  3. I had that same feeling when I used to buy a lot of golf items.

But if you're patient and wait for your item you should still get a good deal. View the sellers feedback on items they have sold. See what they've sold, the buyers response and if the item sold was indeed a bargain. If you see some red flags move on to another seller. Be patient. You'll find the item you want at your price.
