Are there big differences between a College foreign language course and a high school foreign language course?

  1. college course is more advanced. You would be expected to learn more about the verbs, adj, nouns, and write and speak it more.

    High school would just learn you the basics, and it would be on a entry level scale.


  2. A college foreign language course tends to be of a faster pace than a high school foreign language course. It's best to go into a college course with some idea of what you're supposed to learn. You learn the same things in both (a bit more in college) but a college foreign language course is usually much more rigorous. It also depends on the college really.

  3. College courses go at a faster pace. For example, my high school Chinese class uses a college-level textbook, and we use a 1-year book for two years. Also I think college courses have some vocabulary that's more college-related, like how to say majors. But other than that I don't think there's that much difference. Mainly the pacing.
