Not according the NH Audubon, which says neither Black Widows nor Brown Recluse spiders can survive winter in NH.

According to every bit of literature that does it's homework I have seen, Brown recluses only get as far up as mid Illinois, and as far west as Texas, and not far east enough to reach the coast.

Yes, you'll find it in areas like woodpiles or basement corners. Although rarer as you get farther north, brown recluses go all the way up into Canada.
