Are there caliber conversion barrels for HK USP Tactical from 45 to 40 or vice versa?

I am going to purchase an HK USP Tactical, and I have seen a few conversion barrels for 357 sig ammo, and fullsize/compact USPs. I am having trouble finding a conversion barrel from 45 to 40, or from 40 to 45 Tactical. Anyone?

  1. i dont think so. i think H&K made that pistol sound for the caliber it is in. anyways if u have a .45 why change it. .45 is a great caliber.

  2. In general, the 45acp has one frame size, and the 40SW, 357sig, and 9mm are all built on the second frame size.

As 357 sig is simply a 40SW necked down, you can insert a new barrel (well, technically, it is barrel AND chamber all in one, but most folks just call the whole thing the barrel) and you can switch any semiauto from 40SW to 357sig, and even use the same magazine

Switching to 9mm normally requires changing a few more parts, but can be done easily enough

Switching to 45acp would require radical major alterations to the firearm, or basically, it cannot be done aside from almost rebuilding the gun from the ground up

  3. The H-K USP .45 cannot be converted to .40S&W, nor can the reverse be done, either(and it is beyond me WHY anyone would WANT to accomplish the former in the first place).

The .45 and .40 S(hort)&W(eak) are dimensionally different pistols, even tho they appear to be the same.
