  1. Stealing no borrowing yes. If you have borrowed and asked for permission then that would be ok as long as you look after whatever it was you borrowed. And as for stealing then under no circumstances would it be considered ok, I couldn't even think of an occasion where it would be called for.  :)

  2. There are some that are more accepted and not frowned upon (like accidentally putting that pen at the bank in your purse...or playing with someones lighter and putting it in your ciggs out of habbit. Like I said they are not OK but people are more accepting and understanding of things like that.

  3. If you have to steal to feed a starving baby I guess that would be ok but other then that no stealing is wrong in all instances. Borrowing without permission is stealing.

  4. If you are the government and in power, Yes, stealing is OK!

If you are a common hard working  taxpayer, NO!

  5. yes, in and emergency and if someone is going to be harmed by the item that you are taking

  6. I stole my mom's cigarettes when I was 11 (to flush them down the toilet because I didn't want her to get lung cancer!)  I went straight to her purse a few times and got them right out.  She was pissed. However...

She quit after that- so I'll say that my stealing was justified.

  7. I think you should ask permission first before borrowing things. Stealing is getting without permission. And that is wrong ;)

  8. The very word "steal" means taking something belonging to another

without their knowledge or permission, so the only kinds of stealing that are acceptable would be:

    stealing a kiss

    stealing a glance

    a stolen moment for love

stealing a base in a baseball game

stealing away home from a party

Borrowing without permission isn't OK either, unless:

    You're living on borrowed time

You're Jesus and are buried in a borrowed tomb

You "borrow from Peter to pay Paul", (an old saying

meaning what you "borrowed" is going to the same place).

Borrowing something means you ask someone if you can

use their property for a certain time and then return it. If

you borrow something without asking, then it's stealing.

For instance, all the people who have paid into Social

Security for 40 or 50 years thinking the government has

put their money into an account for their retirement have

been lied to. The money that they pay every paycheck

goes immediately to pay other people and for unrelated

government debts. However the government never tells

the working people that they have "borrowed" their

retirement money and used it for something else, so

therefore the government has "stolen" their money.

Yeah, now you get it! If you use this example in class,

however, you may get into trouble because the teacher

is no doubt a paid employee of that same government

and may get angry that you know the truth.

  9. Stealing is never okay, unless somebody breaks into your house with a gun and you have to steal their gun to protect yourself...Then that would be a case of self defense and would be acceptable.

Borrowing is okay with permission. But for example, in a classroom, there will usually be rulers, glue sticks, pencil crayons and calculators on a desk for students to borrow The teacher will say on the first day "these supplies are for you guys to use, but please bring them back after you are done." In this case, you would not have to ask to use them. You could just go up to the desk and take whatever you need (but always return).

Otherwise, borrowing should be with permission. Like say you want to use your friend's calculator, always ask!! Especially if she is using it too. If you only need the object for a short amount of time, but the owner isn't there to give you permission and they are in your immediate family, it is permissible for you to use it, and put it back without it being damaged.

  10. Say you come over to my house and are in my bathroom.  You start your period and need a tampon but you didn't expect your period for a week and have nothing.  I just so happen to have a full box on a shelf that you didn't have to look hard to see because it's right there.  Technically you are stealing but I'm a very understanding and generous person.  In your time of need I would prefer you ask but I understand the awkwardness of the situation.  Maybe you take an anti-diarrhea medicine from my cabinet, who knows.  In an emergency, maybe you use my water hose to put out a  small fire.  For the most part, stealing or borrowing without permission is inexcusable.  Again, I would understand in the above mentioned circumstances or something along those lines.

  11. I suppose if you steal a negative quantity...

  12. To borrow without the owner's consent is the same as stealing, in my book.  It's taking something without permission.

Stealing is stealing, be it a stick of gum or a car.

    It's wrong.

  13. Eating peanuts at the supermarket or a couple of grapes is technically stealing, but lots of people do it.

  14. Ask KBR, they have found a legal way to steal money
