Are there chances of catching viruses by getting downloads from yahoo.music even though i have Norton program.

I want to legally download music but i need to know the risk of catching a virus even though i have the Norton anti virus protection installed on my computer

Doesn't matter what kind of anti-virus program that you have installed. There is always a chance.

There's always chances of getting one. Anti-virus programs can't always catch everything.  :)

I talked personally to a Gateway technician and he said after losing three hard drives he no longer downloads music at all. Sorry. Maybe things are better as was a few months ago. But I doubt it.

yes because every day hackers make virus and your anti-virus wont notice and the same day you buy technology or software its out of date

Yes, there is always a chance of viruses when you download stuff online even with Yahoo! But it's  more likely you'll download spy-ware, like cookie trackers which can slow ur computer down!
