Are there charities to help me from being evicted in N Kentucky?

I've tried loans, pawn, 401k, the helping hands fundat my job, my friends and family (none of which is avaiable to me) but I'm still going tobe evicted I'm $500 short on my rent! What can I do??

My mom says Red Cross and United Way help but I can't find anything as I'm online all day tring to find something anything to help me! These sites don't say anything about helping people unless it's anatural disaster or fire....

  2. Go to  http://www.switchboard.com and look up socaial service agencies for your area. Rule out the obvious non matches and call down the list.    If the one you call can not help ask if they can tell you who might.    Then go back and do the same for churches.  

    You not your mon are correct re Red Cross except in the very few locatio0ns where Red Cross is the administratiove agent for Project Share (a power co help fund).  United Way provides funding to helping organizations not to individuals.   However calling United Way is a good idea.  Ask them which local agencies help with back rent.

    You almost undoubtedly will not get it all in one place.   You will need to have proof of identity, proof of address, income, expenses like power bills, and proof that you can meet your rent in an on going basis if they help you catch up.   If you can not pay rent on an ongoing basis it is better to put whatever funds you have  into finding a place you can afford or seeing if you can room with friends or family.

  3. I would try like the Salvation Army or like a local Shelter.
