We are considering a move to North Carolina. We now live in Ohio and we use a charter school to homeschool our two children. We get the computer and books and they do all work at home at their own pace even though its considered public school. I was wondering if there is this type of public charter school in North Carolina? We are considering a move near Ashville. Any and all help with homeschooling experience in North Carolina is appreciated. I have already checked the laws on the web just looking for charter schools and experience answers. Thank you..

  1. As far as I can see, there's nothing like K12 or Ohdela in NC; for an online charter school there, I believe you would have to go through a school where you pay tuition.  K12 curriculum is available pretty much anywhere, but outside the states where it's chartered, you need to pay for it.

There are plenty of brick-and-mortar charter schools there, but I was unable to find any online.

    Hope that helps?  :-)

  2. Not that I know of, but there is the online public school http://www.ncvps.org/.
