Question:

Are there child's bike seats available for children over 40 lbs?

My only form of transportation is my bike or the bus.

I now have to bring my son along with me to more places, but I'm unable to find a bike seat for him.

He is four and weighs about 40-42 lbs, but most of the seat's maximum weight limit is 40 lbs.

What should I do??? Do I have an alternative?

  1. sounds like it's time for a bike trailer..

  2. just get that 40lbs one but then he won't fit in that for long and you can also get these sort of wagon like things that you attach the end of the bike and you pull it along.

  3. My grand daughters went (4 stages) from a seat that attaches to my bike to a two-wheel enclosed trailer to a trail-a-bike to a bike of their own.

  4. i would def recommend that you get a bike trailer

not only will it be able to house your child but anything else you happen to be bringing along at the time

for you it will be worth it
