Question:

Are there companies who need general - legal transcription?

Are there are any companies who need to outsource their transcription without going through big companies who have 100+ transcriptionists registered with them?

If you're a company looking for somebody, please send me an email. I don't have legal experience, but I can follow any template given to me, and will pick it up very quickly. I will also structure payment based on my inexperience. I am based in Adelaide, but files can be emailed to me worldwide.

If anybody has any advice on how I can get into this field, please feel free to respond. It seems like there are many legal transcription jobs, but I don't know how to get the experience these companies want before they'll consider hiring me.

Thank you

  1. Hi,

It is better to place your details in some job sites or indeed.com etc.

For legal and medical transcription company details, you can go through below group.

  2. My mother is a legal transcriptionist, and has been for about ten years. She's a dynamite typist, computer literate, and that's really all her company was looking for.

Look up the legal transcription firms in your city (they won't be far from the courthouse) and apply directly to them as a typist, a monitor, or a proofreader.

  3. I run a audio transcription service in London UK.

It is hard to get a break in  the industry but what we tend to do is take people on as proofreaders of transcripts then if they do all right they move onto transcription. There is an outline fo teh skills you need on our site http://transcriptdivas.co.uk/the-best-lo...
