Are there cotton fieds in the UK?

Are there any, and if so, where? Or do we just have the wrong climate for that?

  2. I do not think that we have as the cotton plant wants warmth and dry weather to produce the cotton-wool like seed which produces the material

  3. Wrong climate unfortunately. Places in Africa commonly grow cotton. Its cheap to produce, so cheap to buy and import into the UK. Thats why socks are so cheap :)

  5. no we dont have cotton fields in the UK. It is grown in the subtropical and tropical regions of the world and has always been imported into britain
