Are there dangerous insects such as snakes in Phoenix,Arizona ?

I mean , are they in only in the deserts of arizona or also in the city of Phoenix?

Yes they are in the city.  As humans continue to build houses the line between the wilderness and the city is blurred.  The animals lose their habit and sources of food.  They begin to see humans as the new food source and they decide to move right in to your house.

An example

Your children leave food around and mice set up inside the walls.  A rattler finds out about the mouse family and sets up in your garden.  Your children go play in the garden and gets to close to the snakes favorite flower pot and bits one of the kids on the foot.  Now  you get to spend the rest of the day at Loma Linda University Medical Center.

But, yes there are.

I have not seen one in Phoenix in over 10 years.
