Are there dangerous sharks in dominican republic- punta cana??

The only sharks I seen were during the marinarium tour. A catamaran takes you out to a pen where they have a few nurse sharks (nurse sharks are not dangerous) and stingrays. Otherwise I've never seen a shark down there.

Look more people die a year from falling coconuts and from sharks .. When you are at the beach don't look around the water for sharks , look up and make sure there are no coconut over your head. Have fun at the beach don't STRESS..
