yeah there r thousands and MOST of them are homeless in cold shelters and they get killed if there is not enough room! so GO ADOPT ONE if you really want one there are perfectly sweet kittens out there. AND ALL YOU CAT BREEDERS BREED SNAILS INSTEAD!!!!

Yes, there are, but not "hundreds" as someone said.  And Tabby and Calico are simply coat colours - not breeds.

TICA recognizes about 70 breeds and the CFA just under 40.  Over 97% of the cats on this planet, however, are of no particular breed.

Yes, there are many different breeds. Some are: ABYSSINIAN, AMERICAN BOBTAIL, AMERICAN CURL, AMERICAN SHORTHAIR, AMERICAN WIREHAIR, BOMBAY, BURMESE, EGYPTIAN MAU, EXOTIC, MANX, ORIENTAL, PERSIAN, & SIAMESE. If you go to the link I included, they have a list of breeds with descriptions and pictures.
